This is the Wiki for the Oslo Freifunk Project.

We are using the very well developed berlin.freifunk.net firmware http://download.berlin.freifunk.net/ipkg/. More info about the freifunk.net project in general can be read here. The network works based on the Pico Peering Agreement and every participant is strongly advised to respect that agreement.

Since the firmware is based on the outstanding OpenWRT Project, you can check the table of hardware compatibility here.

The oslo community mesh is using the following IPv4 subnet: 10.232.0.0/16 and OLSR.

SSID: oslo.freifunk.net
BSSID: 02:ca:ff:ee:ba:be
Channel: 1 on 802.11b/g
Mode: ad-hoc

In the moment you have to run OLSRd to connect to the mesh. No DHCP leases are served via WLAN.
